Antibacterial and Disinfectants

Individuals using or applying antibacterial products and disinfectants do not need to be licensed as Commercial Pesticide Applicators or Operators, in New Jersey. Also, the business using such products to clean and disinfect, indoors and outdoors, in both commercial and residential properties, for hire, is also exempt from the New Jersey Bureau of Pesticide Compliance licensing requirements. Under most circumstances, antibacterial and/or disinfectant cleaning products are required to be registered with the EPA and the State of New Jersey. There are exemptions if the product is created with natural ingredients listed under the EPA’s 25b exemption list. All antibacterial and disinfectant products, shall be applied according to the registered product label directions . Additionally, these products should never be created at home or made from online recipes. For reference, attached is an EPA approved list of disinfectant products that is available on the EPA website at www.epa.gov/pesticides

We are shifting some of our classes online during this time of uncertainty.  Registration is now open for Basic Pesticide Training and Landscape Pest Control Categories 3A and 3B.  Visit www.NJPMA.com for details!
